Access to Blood Tests

There is a national shortage of blood bottles within the UK until further notice.

This means that from 26th August 2021 general practices have been instructed not to request blood tests on any patients, unless a blood test is required for a suspected cancer referral or to prevent an admission to hospital.

This situation is currently predicted to continue till 17th September 2021.

Please show understanding of this situation, which is beyond our control, and do not contact us or ask our staff for any routine blood tests during this time.

If you have routine blood tests planned, please wait till after 17th September, and check here on our website to see if you can attend, as otherwise you are likely to be turned away from the blood taking service.

Thanks for your patience. We fully understand the frustration this is likely to cause and apologise for any inconvenience.
